I grew up in Alaska but always thought I would leave as soon as I finished high school. Life did not work out that way and I have been a student at UAA for three years. During the majority of that time I have been unsure of what UAA has to offer me, what I can find only here.
I wanted to know what made attending this school worth enduring cold and dark winters. I couldn't find the answer for myself, so with this project, I sought to find out what I had in common with other students at UAA, what made us keep coming here.
Becoming Me was born.
This project is the culmination of my undergraduate degree in Journalism and Public Communications at the University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA). It was developed as part of the Journalism and Communication department's multimedia capstone course and as my senior thesis for the University Honors College.
I graduate Spring 2017.
